regular book promotion.

Hi Mauro,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

I reviewed several sections of the manuscript for this book, it's it's great. I'd love to see this book do well, because it improve the quality of Java user interfaces that people produce. I think this is news people working with Swing really should hear.

Mauro, I hope we will be able to arrange a promotion for this book. Come back any time and hang out here in the Saloon!

I can only echo what Ernest said above. I also reviewed a couple of chapters and together with that table of contents, I'm sure it'll be of great help for Swing developers from junior to senior.

How did you get sample chapters? I would love to read this.

Gee guys..
What an awful post I wrote.. I am reading it now and it is just a plain, shameless plug. Sorry for that!

Anyway, it feels great to be back at the saloon (last book was in 2001, I guess) even if I am always coming here from time to time.. Almost needless to say is the great value you guys provide to the Java community.

Yes, definitely I will arrange a promotion deal with Wiley, although I am open to other suggestions / ideas as well. Promoting this book it's not a matter of royalties ( ) or career (I'm a FTE) to me, but a way to give back to the community.

And finally, thanks guys for your warm welcome!

I guess this really should be moved to our "Bunkhouse Porch" forum, where we hold these random book discussions.
Oh sure, it's a tiny ad, but under the right circumstances, it gets bigger.
a bit of art, as a gift, that will fit in a stocking
