Hi, I am currently researching my university dissertation into Testing and test tools and am conducting a survey into attitudes to testing. I am looking for volunteers to answer some simple questions about their approach to testing and tools they use. You do not need to be a professional software tester, if you have had any experience testing personal projects etc and would be interested in helping me with this please let me know. The questionnaire will be emailed to all volunteers in the next few weeks. Thanks Amy [ November 02, 2003: Message edited by: Amy Phillips ]

Thank you very much Nilendu! Is there anyone else interested in helping out? I am at the beginnings of my project to create a test management and bug tracking tool and as part o the feasibility study am gathering opinions to testing and tools. If you have an opinion you would like to share please get in touch Thank you Amy
Sure Amy send it to me. I am software engineer working on a J2EE project and would be happy to answer any questions. I must admit early that I only test the code that has business rules that must be followed and maintained.
Hi, Amy - I've mostly written my own test tools for embedded systems, though I've used debuggers to step through code (not the same, I know). If that qualifies, you can include me in the survey.

Thanks everyone, I have added you to the list and you should receieve the questions in a couple of weeks. If you are unsure about whether you can answer the questions or not I am looking to include anyone with any testing knowledge so even if you have tested a personal project then please contact me. If you can't answer any of the questions then simply leave them blank although i'm looking for experiances not indept testing knowledge. If you have any questions then feel free to send me a message or email and i will try to answer them. Thanks Amy
