I started working with JUnit. I got a test case to run and found out someone else previously created a lot of JUnit tests that are in jar files that have errors. Is there a way to disable these tests so I can just consentrate on my own work?

"Don't run them."

Seriously, the answer is to simply not run those tests. In order to give a more elaborate answer, you'll need to tell us how (with what) you are running your JUnit tests?
