Passed the UML Test!

Hi All,
I had been thinking of this test since more than a year. I never knew such a wonderfull user group exists here. My Preparations have been really accelerated by talking to u guys/gals.
I scored 79% only. I wished more. anyway
the exam looked cool. one problem domain (ticketing system) was taken as the case study and number of questions were asked related to that.
questions were simple and some were confusing.
few questions i remember are
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL EXAMS ARE COVERED BY COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS ... IT IS ILLEGAL TO PASS ON THE QUESTIONS YOU RECIEVED. I HAVE REMOVED THE QUESTIONS FROM THIS POST - ANGELA (SHERRIFF)
questions were mostly like the ones in the torolab site. some of the package related questions were there exactly as in the torolab site.
I studied UML DIstilled 2 times, every line carefully. I looked over Larman's and Booch's books.
what is the general good percentage in this test?

are you talking abt IBM 486 or some other exam?
I have read UML distilled once ,what else do u suggest further?
how much experience do we need for this exam?
I am having 1.5 yrs of exp on programming in java stuff, but no exp on analysis and design.can i prepare for this ?

yes, ibm-486.

as i told u learn all that is there in uml distilled, and pass the torolab test, thats enough. maximum i scored in torolab was 70%.

Congrats.Do you think that experience is important before thinking about 486.Experience in terms of both coding and/or designing?? How much experience do you have??

Hi Prabh,
I have close to 3 yrs of industry experience and i am a comp sc. engineering graduate from a REC Rourkela,India. i worked for Wipro and now work for MindTree in India.
In my 3yrs of experience i have worked on various low ceremony projects (as martin fowler puts it). i had very little exposure to UML in the currect B2C project that i worked on.
I am not sure how much thinking(internalization) u have done on OO. thats what is probably imoprtant rather than anything else.

I am the moderator for this forum and first noticed your post with some of the questions from the test. I asked for some help with the issue and Angela was the person who responded. As Carl noted, we acted to keep all of us out of any sticky legal situations.

to pass the exam I would say only UML Distilled is enough, u need to pass the ibm sample test comfortably.
I looked over number of other books but read UML Distilled 2 times line by line.

I am working as a Java Developer in Sydney. I am doing some J2EE stuff with iPlanet Application Server. My SCJEA voucher would not arrive before the end of March. Besides, for me SCJEA may take at least four months for all three parts.
So, I am doing both Developer & Architect Certification concurrently. Besides, I already got vouchers for both parts of Developer certificaton end of last week.
How about you?

I want to get rid of the certfication loops, SCJEA-1 will be the last cert i wud be taking.
Its lots of money without much value.

I don not think that SCEA is having less value.
In New delhi Corporate is prefering SCEA certification.
any way it is my view point.
I think certification keeps one update with current technology in this ever changing software market.
