Desai,
The next test for me is Enterprise Connectivity with
J2EE, Test #483. I already took the preassesment test and passed on my first try. I have prior experience with EJB,
JSP, and
Servlets, so I'm thinking this will be a big help.
Deepak,
I do have prior experience with OOA/OOD, but nothing very extensive. I've used class diagrams and use cases on real-world projects, that's it. Understanding UML and the concepts associated with it is just common sense really. If you've programmed in an object oriented language before, then some text book knowledge from a good book that does not go into too much detail, such as UML Distilled, will be fine to enhance your understanding of OOA/OOD from a theoretical perspective.
I would have to say that there was an equal number of exhibit questions as there were nonexhibit questions. If you understand UML notation and you are also familiar with all UML diagrams, especially interaction diagrams, then you already have half of the exhibit questions answered, really.
Yes, I did'nt bother reading Larman. UML distilled was boring enough, thank you very much. I dont think I could have studied another hour for this exam. To be honest, for the last 2 days leading up to my exam, I was spending more time surfing the web than I was getting prepared for the exam. But I can tell you this:
You should be able to take the preassesment test and pass with 80% consistently. I must have taken the preassesment test 100 times!
