Just took the IBM 486 test and passed it with a score of 86.
The only comment I would like to make is :
Know and trust the Process. The process as described by Larman is good enough to pass the test. When in doubt remember the process. There are questions which asks what is the input or output of a particular stage of SDLC.
I know some people may think as bias towards the Larman process but exam follows the same process. So if you are in for passing the exam you are expected to know Larman's process.
Anyway I am planning on taking J2EE Test (IBM 483). Any body can give some pointers how to go about it.Any help is appreciated.

hi vikram
CONGRATULATIONS.....
how important is the other book "DISTILLED UML" by Flower from the exam point of view and what percentage of questions come on the design patterns ? do u feel it's reqd. to read some book on DESIGN PATTERNS (like by GAMMA),Because those are the questions which seem to be a bit complicated.

Thanks Everybody.
Vijay,
I would say UML Distilled is must.It talks about UML and the test is for UML.I got a lot Q's for the Use cases and Activity/State Diagrams using Martin's Terminology.
As for Design Patterns some of them are discussed in Larman's Book.I did not read the Gof book for the test.
Hope it helps.
