Patterns are so usefull in J2EE that they have a book on it.
Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies
by Deepak Alur, John Crupi, Dan Malks
Since UML usually use with Partterns i think you need to know it
dont know anything on Refactoring but! will soon i hope.

SINCE PATTERNS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF ALL GOOD ARCHITECTURES NOW THEREFORE I M PRETTY SURE THAT THIS BOOK MUST BE HAVING SIZEABLE INFO ON THEM

I assume you mean this week's giveaway book. I'd say it is very important for J2EE, but for a different reason than design. Most J2EE systems I've seen interact with other systems across organizational boundaries. If the various groups do not work well together, it is unlikely that the systems will work well together. Our book focus on the groups and how they operate.
