Passed 486

I have passed IBM 486 three days ago with 79%.
Generally speaking, it is not that hard. Just applied your knowledge and experience. All information here helps a lot. Thanks to Javaranch.
For my preparing, read UML distilled more than twice. Just went through Applying UML and Patterns. The general idea for them is enough. Tried IBM ICE test. For time, I prepared it for 3 weeks.
Any anyone point out some good books for 483, or good Websites? or your experience?

R u working somewhere as a Designer/architect, how do u feel it EASY. as u prepared relatively less time and looks like cleared the exam with ease. Can u give some details abt u, so I can relate.
Have u went thru any other books. did u find any mock exams other than ICE.

I thought it was hard, hence I had very careful preparation.
For each objective, tried to find answer or related issues. For each ICE, tried to think about why answer it is, and why others are not.
For my experience, I have two years experience on Java/C++. For OOAD, I don't have any. No, I don't find any mock exam for 486. But I did read a lot of papers from Web.

Yes you can mark and review questions. Be careful on marking too many questions though, the diagrams take up quite a bit of time.
I also like to review my answers one last time before I click "FINISHED".

I am first time here. Hi ... Great site.. Just want to let you guys know I passed test 483, 406 and SCJP 2.0 and SCJA Part-I. Now preparing for 486. May be from experience and after writing this exam I am saying, experience in these fields helped me a lot in writing all these 4 exams and i passed all of them with great percentage too. Just to boost up your confidence before taking all these tests: GO FOR THESE TESTS BY SAYING YOURSELF "YES I AM GONNA MAKE IT". Will feel like a joke, but this thought helped me a lot and helped me a lot while thinking for my answers.
For 483, I think any good EJB book, servlet, JSP book will be fine. Security you can read from anywhere. Once again, all the questions in 483, 406 looks tough but direct and simple though. Keep your cool and try to answer it. Good luck guys.

Congratulations on your achievement.
I have just one question which I have posted in several forums but did not get a staright answer yet.
Since you mentioned that you took the time to understand the test objectives, I thought may be I'll ask you this.
In the objectives on Architecture, there is a section called Model View Persistence. I would like to know what is the meaning and scope of this objective.
I have read about the Model view Controller and I understand the separation of concerns as it applies to architecture.
I would like to know what reference material, if any, you used for this part.
