After reading Design Patterns Explained, I am really wanting to jump into another design patterns book. The GoF book seems to be the best prospect, but I have a concern. I do not know any C++. Will this book be useful to someone with no knowledge of C++? Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi Mathew,
This is a java version of GOF book, use this as a complement to your GOF book.

Today I saw one book
Java Patterns by Sun Publishing.
Do you have any feedback on that book. It contains other Java Patterns in addition to GoF patterns.
Thanks.

Patterns in Java Volume 1, by Mark Grand, ISBN 0-471-25839-3. It has a lot of the GoF patterns and others as well. I cannot recommend his Volume 2 'tho ...... see the reviews on amazon.
Regards, Guy
