I'm afraid there's just no easy way to do it: you need to read and understand the books (UML Distilled by Martin Fowler and Applying UML and Patterns by Craig Larman), practice with the ICE test on IBM's website, and read the books again.

Thanks Junilu Lacar.
Can you tell me how much time it takes to prepare for exam from these books. are these books are very easy to understandable? If going in detail is the only solutions to pass the exam then i will do that. Is there any other links or white papers those helpfull for exam... pls write ....

It took me 4 weeks to pass the exam. All I worked on are the two books by Larman and Fowler, as well as IBM sample test.
I consider this exam more of a common sense exam. I would probably take it sooner if it doesn't cost $175.

Hi Jon,
I agree with Junilu that there's no short cut to studying books. But the good news is the 2 books
recommended for this exam are very easy read. I suggest you start with Larman. Excepting the last
few chapters, the whole book is easily understandable even if you are a beginner to OOAD.
After you've finished Larman, UML Distilled can be finished in 4-5 hours.
Reading Larman will certainly help a lot for exam as well as for building sound concepts.
You'll find that most of the questions in exam can be easily solved if you are comfortable
with these 2 books.
Hope that helps
Thanks,
Ali

Today's lesson is that you can't wear a jetpack AND a cape. I should have read this tiny ad:
