Just wondering if the book was structured so as to present the material through practical examples. I find it easier for me to pick something up if I can following along with examples that help lead a person through the various concepts. It's even better if the examples are sort of a step-by-step guide which I can perform on the computer as I read along. I know very little about UML but have a need to put some basic diagrams together in the very near future.
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, the book has many examples - both when introducing the parts of UML at the beginning of the book, and in the latter case studies.
