First a big thank you to Bob Martin for being here for the week. We know it was very difficult and we appreciate you spending your time with us.
And the winners are:

Congratulations! Please send me your snail mail address so we can get a copy of the book out to you.

Congratulations to all winners too.
(And I hope Illja gets his complimentary copy. )
A BIG thanks to Robert Martin for sharing his time and thoughts. I will be keeping an eye on his work.
That is, I'll be keeping an eye OUT for his work. See this thread
What are you trying to say ? in one of the most active forums on JavaRanch.(where some notable authors end up for some curious reason).
Did Uncle Bob make an XP convert of you then, Thomas ?
regards

My understanding is that you'd have to learn OO really well in order to work more agilely. Not only you but the whole team. And each individual should expect to be mentored and pass that on as the opportunity arises.

Agile development does not require OO.
OO is a design methodology, Agile development is a project culture above all else.
The two are often used together, but either can exist without the other.

True! I suppose you could use Agile Development Practices to write COBOL programs. Perhaps Robert Martin will bring a book out for UML for COBOL Programmers. [Really now !]
( I know of one interested party - Jeff Bosch)
