Hi Guys,
I would appreciate if anyone can guide me the best way to be expertise in designing Architect. I am J2EE Developer, now i desperately want to upgrade to Architect side. So kindly let me know the best prcatices and from whre i should start. Also let me know the best UML books or links.

The best way to become an architect is to spend years and years writing and reading code, reading about new technologies, reading classics, etc.

Or were you looking for the fastest way?
