Hi I have a question about design pattern , I have basic knowledge about design.

Im designing a socket solution that has to implement differnet algorithms , like token ring , centralized ... for handling serialized object !

I want to design a middleware that keeps hold of the algorithms so its easy to switch which algoritm to use.

Which Design Pattern should i look at ?

The strategy and possibly template method design patterns fit.

Hi,

I have to agree with steve souza that Strategy and Template Method
would be two good choises.

As a side note: Using the above mentioned patterns you might end up
using the Acceptor and Connector pattern [PLo].
