Folks, it seems my fancy talkin' got Scott Ambler mildly confused about which week his promotion was for. It was last week. Luckily, we got things with Scott straightened out, and effectively extended the promotion a couple of days, while Scott did a great job catching up on a few posts. He says he'll be around all of this week, as well.

Thank you to Scott Ambler for hanging out with us, answering questions. Also, thank you to Cambridge Press University, for donating four copies of The Object Primer, 3rd Edition, to our winners.

The winners are...
-Sathya Srinivasan
-Stan James
-Ilja Preuss
-Stefan Bell

Congratulations! Please send me your preferred snail mail address and phone number by sending an email to bookpromotion AT javaranch DOT com with the subject "promotion winner - Object Primer" and I'll forward your information to the publisher.

This week we're promoting three books on J2EE from Apress:
  • Enterprise Java Development on a Budget: Leveraging Java Open Source Technologies by Brian Sam-Bodden and Christopher M. Judd in our Other Open Source Projects forum
  • Oracle Application Server 10g: J2EE Deployment and Administration by Erin Mulder and Michael Wessler in our Oracle/OAS forum
  • and Practical WebObjects by Charles Hill and Sacha Mallais in our Web Application Frameworks forum.
  • Also, we're running a product promotion for Kodo JDO over in our Object Relational Mapping forum. Authors Patrick Linskey and Robin Roos will be hanging out, answering questions.

The Ranch is going to be full of technical authors, hanging out and helping to answer questions!

See the Book Promotions page for more information on future promotions.

Congratulations guys! And thanks to Scott for showing up in the end -- it was worth the wait
I hope the discussions will continue this week as well.

    Congrats to the winners.

Also, my apologies once again for showing up late. Stuff happens. You'll still see me around anyway as I'm a reasonably regular contributor. This is a great resource.
