This position requires 5 to 10 years of professional technical/management experience including 2 years or more of project management. This position also requires 2 years or more of development experience or experience managing development teams with either:
ASP, VB, VBScript, JavaScript, IIS, MTS, SQL Server or,
Java, C++, WebSphere, Weblogic, EJB CORBA, servlets, or applets
As a Web Application Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team to develop leading-edge internet applications for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on full-life cycle projects including Requirements, Design, Build, Test and Implement phases. You will be able to understand business problems and technology abilities to support project planning, lead the day-to-day analysis and requirement gathering phases of projects, lead overall functional and technical design, lead team programming efforts, provide programming assistance to team members, understand advanced testing concepts, techniques and methodologies, lead the development and execution of a comprehensive test plan and testing approach for a system development effort, and lead the implementation and turnover of software to clients. The primary focus of your responsibilities is on utilizing technical and business skills in managing projects.
You should:
Have the ability to develop lasting business relationships with client mid-management.
Provide initial estimates of the size, effort, schedule and cost for a profitable project.
Develop and implement a project communication plan.
Develop and implement a knowledge transfer plan.
Manage team deliverables and assigned tasks.
Develop and structure analysis approaches and frameworks.
Provide though leadership for larger and complex written communications.
Lead and deliver client presentations.
Leverage team skills and experience.
Support team members through mentoring.
Work on a team of at least 3 - 5 members.
Participate in 3 - 4 projects per year (on average).
Desired personal characteristics include strong interpersonal skills, high initiative, effective work/life balance, and team player.
Salary = +/- $100,000
