Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to the world of OO programming, so just for fun I wanted to write a chat applet that connects to our support channel on IRC. Ignoring the GUI stuff for now, what would a good OO design be? I was thinking of maybe having a Connection class, a Listener class, and an EventHandler class. What do you think? I'd like for this code to be as reusable as possible.

Before we can talk about design, we need to know about the requirements. What exactly do you want the applet to do?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
