how to edit sequence diagrams in rational rose

hi,

if i want to edit the sequence diagram by deleting a message in it, it deletes all the subsequent messages . how to delete that particular message without disturbing all other subsequent messages.

please help me

Have you tried to detach the message from the object which you sent it to first?

By deleting the message, the tool assumes that you no longer require the logic, therefore it removes the subsequence messages from your diagram.

Why are you even using a tool to do diagrams like this? Isn't it easier to write the code?

i am working for a reverse engineering project my job is to draw sequence and activity diagrams from the existing code.

i can't get it what do you exactly mean by "easier to write code"

try selecting an arrow and message and pressing CTRL+D

It's often easier to simply write the source code than it is to use a CASE tool to draw a sequence diagram from which source code is generated.
