Hello,

Is there a design pattern or best practice for inventory systems? I am in the process of designing a store that has an inventory. i am not sure HOW I should manage the inventory. For instance, lets say that I am going to sell tickets to an event, should I maintain a table will all the rows and seats? How can I make sure that I don't give the same ticket too two customers?

Can anyone provide direction on what is usually done in this type of system?

thanks

This seems to me more driven by database design that anything. Let's give this a chance in the General Computing forum.
