Helllooo!! I am no supporter for crime and I am very pleased to see Salman in jail coz even if the punishment is a tad harsh for killing a buck its still less for killing a man (which he did while driving drunk!)

About imagining the boy to be my brother and stuff... I am not star struck or out of compassion but the boys who got hit themselves told the papers that they got minor bruises and I think such accidents happen on roads all the time without much hung ho in forums!!!

Maybe you would like to see what a person from Lehman has to say about the company. He has 6+yrs of experience by the way.

Lehman is not an IT company. It is very different from a conventional IT comp... we have various business units and IT depts. supporting those business units. Like one can work for Operations and Finance Tech group which supports operations n finance business groups. This person will develop, maintain and support the apps for these two groups. Lehman has work on java+j2ee apps. Currently we have a project based on spring framework (enterprise level application), a SOA based project... n few swing UI based apps as well. The work is fairly challenging...

The above seems quite enlightening on the work part. However, moral of the story is there is no guarantee on the kind of project you do(which holds true for most companies anyways!!) - it could be maintenance and support or a challenging development!

I think pay should be fairly good and onsite opportunities not plenty.

Again, this post only portrays my impression of the company and I could be wrong.

I dont think 65K is a good salary for Dubai. I have heard that the rent is like 20K+ for a single room there and for others things too its awfully expensive. I wonder how much you will be able to save (I guess that's the motivation behind going to Dubai!!) after paying for your living there. IHMO its not a great offer and India is the place to be in right now!!!
