Ok i got your point but tell me one think your web server propery work or not? becoz your compiling .jsp server requiered tool.jar or comman.jar or servlet.jar file in your lib folder and if after done all these thinks, you can try to use beanname attribute and 1st compile .java file and then only try to execute .jsp in browser.'

you are using wrong attribute in usebean tag you have to use "class" instead of "type".
you can only use 'type" attribute when object of that class already exist and you want to use it.But if you want to create object you have to use "class" attribute .

plz keep in mind one think , when are you going to use xml you also have to know littel bit about java and advance technology. ok and 1st think, are you working in java or not? if yes , go for java 1st then go for xml.
then only you know how to use xml with java and advance tech.
