Hi,

I am stuck with a strange problem.

I have a jar called abc.jar which runs my GUI application. Let us say that abc.jar has a class called Test.class.

My customer has a requirement that he would supply another jar called patch.jar whose path he would specify in the GUI application while it is already running. The patch.jar contains a replacement for Test.class. When the user specifies the path to the patch.jar and clicks on OK, i need to load the new Test.class from patch.jar instead of abc.jar

It is also safe to assume that Test.class has not been loaded till the point the patch.jar path has been specified by the customer and he has clicked ok.

How can this problem be solved?

Thanks,

Hi,
I am writing a multi-cd spanning installer for a particular software in Linux (Redhat 4 or greater / Suse )

My Program is in Java. A Shell Script is used to fork the java process. I found out that when the Installer tries to go to the next disc when prompted so, by the installer, the eject command or the umount command is not able to eject / unmount the CD which is already there in the drive.

The eject / umount reports that the device is busy.

Now I tried to find out the process which is accessing the CD-ROM device and the output of command
fuser -m /cdrom0

gives me the PID of the shell process which was used to launch this Java process.

Please note that the Java Process has a separate PID. Also please note as soon as the user launches the shell command for the installer, I copy the files to the temporary directory and then cd to the temporary dir location and then fork the java process from there.

How can i solve this problem ? How can i make the mount of the second and subsequent CD Drives work without this issue ?

Thanks in advance,
Jiju Jacob

I have to implement a popup menu which pops up on the mouse right click to rename a Folder inside a JFileChooser File Pane.

I am kind of not able to get the FilePane at all. I tried overriding some of the methods in MetalFileChooserUI, but to no avail. THe JDK version is 1.5

Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I agree with Pratik Lohia. One small suggestion, instead of maintaining as a session object, you can construct a class that can act as a cache and when ever you need, this object may be referred. Implement this class as read/load once with a singleton instance available in memory. So the first time the user info is requested, you can load the properties and all further requests may just read it from this one. The difference is that all user info is maintained out of session.

Hi All,

I constructed a JSP page with the DynaActionFOrm, it works okay but with one major problem, the values submitted do not get reflected to the form property.

THe form has a bean called IncentiveInfo and this has properties like incentiveName and incentiveAmount.

The incentiveInfo is declared as a form-property in the form bean. The form -property is not getting set.

Have you faced such a problem. Can You help me?

Thanks in Advance..
