Hi Rohan!
Sorry! Accidentally pressed Add to reply button! Follow this

and also

The Internet Explorer versions 5 and 6 that I tested only allowed up to 2,047 characters while Netscape Navigator version 4 seemed to be able to handle up to 30,000 and I couldn't get version 6 much past 9,000.
Before you start thinking that 2,047 is a lot, it's not like you can go ahead and use all of those characters. That limit is even less once you deduct the address of your site, the path to the requested file, and even the requested file name.

Hope this will help U!

Hi All,
I passed SCBCD with 87%. I am feeling really happy now! I prepared for the exam for 1 month sincerely and also I had touch with EJB before.

My sincere thanks to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates!
Thanks a lot ... Your book is really wonderful and helped me a lot! Don't know what to say ... but the book is really superb!I didn't know EJB is this much easy!

and Thanks to all of U ranchers for answering all my questions and helping me!

Thanks to Valentin for his spec objective mapping and cheat sheets! They helped me a lot in preparing for the exam within a short span of time! Without spec objective mapping whenever I open the spec , just after a few pages, I used to feel sleepy.

And all other guys who passed the exam before! All of u were my inspiration and ur tips and suggestions helped me a lot!

Thanks a lot to all of U again!
Thanks and Regards,

32. Which are true about Session bean passivation?
A) Passivation always uses Serialization. This is not guaranteed
B) A bean can be removed even while in a passivated state.yes .. in case of timeouts
C) A bean can be passivated even while in a transaction. No
D) Both stateless and stateful session beans can be passivated. No
E) A UserTransaction reference cannot be passivated. No .. It can be passivated
F) A 'Connection' reference cannot be passivated.Yes
G) A resource manager connection factory reference cannot be
passivated.No
H) A reference to a bean's privated JNDI environment can be
passivated.Yes
I) A null reference can be passivated.Yes

gayanb.com :: DEVELOPER RESOURCES :: Free SCBCD Mock exams, practice tests
J) Under some circumstances, the bean might be passivated
*without*
getting an ejbPassivate method call.I Think .... No

So , I beleive .... B,F,H and I are answers to this Question.

From the spec page no:48
The entity, its primary key, and its remote reference survive the crash of the EJB Container. If the state of an entity was being updated by a transaction at the time the container crashed, the entitys state is automatically reset to the state of the last committed transaction. The crash is not fully transparent to the clientthe client may receive an exception if it calls an entity in a container that has experienced a crash.

So, I too think, the answer is d,e

If the question asks you to select exactly one answer pick (b).

Thank You Peer!

Thank You Joshi!
My doubt is now clarified! But why the inconsistency bwn the book and spec.... Eventhough I believe on the exam , they won't ask questions having these 2 responses ....
a. RemoteException to the Remote clients and EJBException to the local clients
b. NoSuchObjectException to the Remote client and NoSuchObjectLocalException to the local client ...

But what if a question like this appears on the exam ..........
what to choose ?

Thanks and Regards,
Prathibha.
Problem :

A client has just called a business method on an entity bean on which another client has already called theBean.remove(). What will happen?

Options:

Select 1 correct option.

a.A new entity bean is created and the method is executed on that bean.
b.The method call will return immediately without returning any output.
c.The client will get javax.ejb.EJBException
d.The container will route the call to another container within the cluster (if it exists).
e.The client will get javax.ejb.NoSuchObjectLocalException if it is a local client.(And will get a java.rmi.NoSuchObjectException if it is a remote client.)

Answer is E.

But .... according to HFEJB , when client calls remove on a bean that's already removed -

Remote clients get RemoteException
LocalClients get EJBException . (page No :559)

Please help me!

Prathibha
