Hai all..

I passed SCWCD exam today with 86% marks. I am so grateful to HFSJ authors for writing this wonderful book.. I was a beginner in Jsp and Servlets, when I started to study this. But, this book helped me to understand the concepts very easily.

I read HFSJ many times, took notes, did mock tests from HFSJ and from some sites(J2ee certificates.com, and jdiscuss). Eventhough, I am not an active member of this forum, I used to read this forum topics. That also was very helpful. Thanks to u all for posting topics and clearing doubts.

Thanks

Thanks for ur reply. I searched in these links. Also, I searched in this forum. They are all discussing only abt option C. But, I couldn't find why the option D is wrong. Can anyone please clarify this.

Thanks

Hi all,

I have a doubt regarding one of the mock questions in HFSJ(page 432. question 17).

Which abt EL access operators are true?

A. anywhere the . (dot) operator is used, the [] could be used instead.
D. There are some situations where the . (dot) operator must be used and other situations where the [] operator must be used.

In which the answer given is only A. I think the answer D is also correct.
The reason is:
1) We can't use ${musicList.1} instead of ${musicList["1"]
2) we can't use ${initParam.master-email} instead of
${initParam['master-email']}

Can anyone please clarify this?

Thanks and Regards
Swapna
Hi all,

I have found this question in one mock exam (java certificate question no.5).

Select one correct answer from the following:-
A.The order of elements in deployment descriptor is important. The elements must follow a specific order.
B The elements of deployment descriptor are not case insensitive
C The servlet-mapping element, if defined, must be included within the servlet element.
D The web-app element must include the servlet element

The answer given is A. But I thinks that, the order doesn't matter. Also, the elements in DD is case sensitive. So my answer is B. Can anyone clarify this.
