I have an apache server with rest APIs accepting Json object and produce Json object.
testing the sever using Chrome advanced rest client show no problems.

I then tried to create a jave client, using org.jboss.resteasy:

When trying to use this method to send object containing Hebrew characters such as the following JSON:

I'm getting the error code HTTP Status 400, error message: The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect.
I never reach the server.

Sending the same object using Chrome advanced rest client works fine.
Sending it with English name also works.

The API:

I’m trying to secure my web application using JAAS and Jboss7.
When I’m trying to access secure page – it popup the login page as expected,
But after success login, it keep popup the login page.

If I use the default servlet - j_security_check – it remember the login.
In my servlet – what is required in order to save the authentication on the session?

Here is my code:

login.jsp

I might have more then one unique constraint in the same entity, and i want to show the user a specifc message about the problematic field.
I'm using JPA with hibernate and oracle DB.

I add unique annotation to my entity:

As i understand, this validation will not occure at runtime.
i do have contraint in the DB.

so when trying to save an object, i'm getting the exception

How can i show a "friendly" message to the user instead of the message from the exception?
(like in the case of not-null, where i define the message on the entity).

yes - i did try to place it under jar under WEB-INF/lib in the war itself, or under jboss/default/lib (both, only one)
but the error is the same.

I'm trying to deploy the holidayService example from spring-ws tutorial on an existing web-application working with jboss 5.

I perform the following steps:
1) Add the following lines to my web.xml file:

2) Add the file spring-ws-servlet.xml from the sample code and placed in the same place as my web.xml file. File contain the following lines:

3) Add the files hr.wsdl & hr.xsd to the same location.
4) Add the jar spring-ws-core-2.0.0-RC2.jar to the jboss class path.

After starting the server and trying to get the new wsdl (using http://localhost:8080/jbossws/ or http://localhost:8080/holidayService/holiday.wsdl) I don’t get the wsdl.
Also when trying to access an existing jsp (using http://localhost:8080/index.jsp) I get HTTP Status 405. When removing the additional lines that I add to the web.xml file I can access this jsp.

After migrating from Jboss 4.0 to JBoss 5.1.GA, accessing EJBs from the JMX console is no longer working.

I have a method which accessing EJB. When running it in the application it works fine, and manage to create the home interface.
But when try to run it from the JMX, it fails to find the home interface, and I’m getting the following error:

the exception occurs when trying to lookup the home interface:

The createContext method

notice that this code used to work on Jboss 4.0 with no changes.

thanks in advanced

Hello,

I'm trying to implement the Hibernate Caching Ehcache, and I have a few problem/questions.
In my test, I have two tables – Country & Airports, while the relation between them is one-to-many.

In both hbm file (for Country & Airports) I set <cache usage="read-only"/>

And also for the relation from country to airports I set

I run a test method that request all countries in a loop, and counting the time for each quires.
To make sure caching is working I also set the property hibernate.show_sql to true in the hibernate configuration file.

The result – the first iteration perform one query for the COUNTRY table, and about 1000 quires for the AIRPORT table.
The other iteration perform only one query for the COUNTRY table.

My questions are:
1) Why does the first iteration run the same query on the airport table so many times.
2) Why does the other queries still run the query on the country table.
3) I notice that the behavior remains the same whether I put <cache usage="read-only"/> in the country.hbm file or not. Do I need to set this?

Also – I tried to set the ehcache.xml file, placing it on the same path as the hibernate configuration file, but it looks like it being ignored.
How can I use this file?

Thanks in advanced

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate from jboss 4.2.3 to jboss 5.1.0 (JDK 6.0).
My application reads xml over http requests from several clients.

After migrating to jboss 5 and sending the xml request I'm sometime getting IllegalArgumentException from tomcat. Same request may sometime works fine and sometime gets the exception.

Here is a sample of my code that read the request. Same code work fine on jboss 4.0.5 and 4.2.3.

how can i solve this?

Thanks,
