Did you mean a certification other than SCWCD?
Hi Kishore, details re IBM 486 (which, to the best of my knowledge, has nothing to do with IBM's Rational Rose) are provided here:

Thanks Arun, and good luck.
Passed SCWCD 1.4 exam today with a score of 85%, after almost two months of preparation using only HFSJ (final mock exam score: 74%).

Tough exam. Took me the whole allocated time (2 hours and 15 minutes) to complete it.

Oh, and thanks.

Thanks Mikalai and Hussain.

Prateesh, it took me about one and a half months to prepare for the exam.

But as background information, I should say that:
* Prior to the preparation period, I had been quite familiar with Fowler's (but not quite with Larman's), for I used Fowler's as one of the textbooks for my Intro to OOAD/UML classes (Yeah. I'm an instructor and actually quite embarrassed with the score ).
* I tried to study every topics in Larman's. Doing so was very time consuming and unnecessary, I think, if passing the exam had been the only goal. (I think Mikalai's quizzes could be used to assess which topics of Larman's are of higher importance with regard to the exam.)

Hope it's of some use. And good luck.
Passed IBM 486 today with 88%.

Perhaps it's just me, but I found some questions rather ambiguous.

Anyway, I'm grateful to Mikalai Zaikin
for providing very helpful quizzes ( http://java.boot.by/magnet-mocker/ ). Thanks Mikalai.
Re the login problem: Prometric replied, at last, and my login problem is finally solved. Phew.

Thanks Rudy.
Umm. I believe there are a lot of cities here in our island where people use the "original java language" (as opposed to the one created by James Gosling) on a daily basis. Jogjakarta and Surakarta are among them.

Re the login problem: it persists.

Thanks Mikalai, Karthikeyan, and Bert.

Re the login problem: still have it. Sent a message to Prometric <[email protected]> two days ago. Currently in wait for their reply.

Thanks, Rizwan. I'll wait some more days.

And Agrah is correct. Jakarta, located in the Java island, is the capital city of Indonesia. (No, I believe we don't drink more coffee than people of any other country).

Hi,

Took the SCJP 1.4 exam yesterday in Jakarta (anybody else here from the island of Java?) and passed it with a score of 98%.

The book by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates turned out to be quite helpful, though I found the actual questions, at least in my case, somewhat easier than the ones provided in the self-test sections of their book, not to mention far less amusing.

Btw, I'm currently unable to log in to http://www.certmanager.net/sun/ (from some previous posts, I see that this is a common problem). Should I just wait several days before giving it another try, or should I do something, such as sending a message to [email protected], right away?

Thanks.
