I agree with Ulf. The support for MS Word in Apache POI is very basic.

Considering your requirements you might want to go for a commercial Java API.

Hi Subha,

You have take a look at Jakarta POI api for generating word document.

It might help you.

Using iText for creating simple rtf is ok but it is not suitable for big word document as it is mainly used to generate the PDF files.

I don't think your friend has to worry about anything. Ask him to take to look at the terms and condition written in the appointment letter.

In india this kind of stuff doesn't work due to the nature of the labor law. In worst case you can advise your friend to take help of a lawyer and report the matter to Labour Commissioner/Inspector.

Most of the placement companies in india does not take any money from the candidate instead they take the money from the company which has selected you.

The money that they will charge to the companies is depends on your CTC offered by the company. It usally very from 8% to 12% based on certain factors like rare skils, number of experience etc.

However there are certain companies which does not entertains these placement firms.

Well the RAD is based on eclipse but it contains custom plugins. The plugins available in Exadel Studio Pro are the standard plugins that comes with standard eclipse download.

The best thing is to have seperate install of eclipse for Exadel Stdio Pro and RAD.

I have also tried the same but unable to run both in same eclipse install.

Dear Mr. Clifford,

Just go to $TOMCAT_HOME\bin folder and try to run startup.bat file.

Based on your post it seems that you are using windows operating system and hence .sh file will not work.
