Hi,
I am having good 7+ years in J2EE (continuous), but for last 7 months due to unexpected circumstances, I am not working.
I worked last 5 yrs with IBM GBS (originally India), of which last 3 yrs with IBM Canada.

I have PR of canada now and came back to India... due to some personal pending things...

now I got this 7 months GAP, for last 1 months I am preparing for the interview...

so Folks what you feel Should I show the GAP or I can put some project I did earlier and get experience letter from my friend's company.(they will back reference check also)

I know Honesty matters but if GAP is definitely going to affect my shortlisting of my CV in companies ... then Its better to show some experience as I have enough industry knowledge to cover up.

I am planning to move back to Canada soon

Your honest and most important practical (might not be ethical) inputs will be appreciated ...

so does it matters in India/Candian companies with 7 yrs of exp.

tommorow i am going to give resignation.. but to be very honest ranchers i am very much scared that where I will be going to land up ?
that is working in mule ? could you just tell me how much technical stuff i am going to be in ? and will it be easy stuff ?

because my interview wasn't that technical and got easily selected to be honest.. ..
because my current project is SOA based (though I am not in Integration layer using IBM Messagebroker/Adaptor) but do use IBM Mq series,

so thinking in that way ... How much challenging and pure technical stuff I will be working on, with MULE and Open source ESB

but i have very much exp in webservices/portal/struts/jsf/ejb 3.0/mq series with jms

please guide me ranchers

i got an offer from indian big brand company, how much 4.2 years of person can get ? now days how is the indian market now days

as I am being offered 6 Lacks,

I got one offer in which I have to develop solution to e-commerce business problem of Retail Domain using MULE (open source esb) and other websphere commerce server.

I would appreciate if any body can tell me what is future in working this part of technology i.e mule ??

as telling co. names do become important to take the inputs from other ranchers though its not allowed in java ranch rulse..

i am from delhi, india,(own house, living with parents) and 2+ work exp in j2ee technologies but not much quality experience to be honest...

ok i have 3 jobs in hand...
1.
1st is a v.small co (around 30 employees). in gurgoan having work on JSF+Hibernate.. (development) and package they are offering me around 4.2to 4.5 around...

2.
2nd co. is company ( top 20 s/w co. of world) 3rd in Europe and v.good co. + good work (programming) package is 4.5 + 50k (joining bonus)+relocation cost + buying my notice period... but the co. is in mumbai... don't know what i go for ?
what you people think about it.. considering the expensive city mumbai
One more thing the company is in Andheri (E)/ in MUMBAI,
for how much one room it will cost near Andheri East, mumbai?
and cost of living in mumbai per month..

3rd again in Gurgaon (Haryana, near delhi), company is v.good brand but the co. is BPO industry.. package is 3.5 ( my current package) but work is in BPM (business process management, using some tools like Savvion/FileNet)
within Ecliplse IDE, but i really don't have much idea about this domain and future.. Can any bodoy please put light on this domain and its future.

but i really don't have any quality expereince in my resume.. i mean i don't have good quality work experience and wokred on various technologies like from jsf to ejb3.0 to prortlets to webserivices..but master of none.....apart from that i have also shwone 7 months fake exp in my resume too... so now eagerly wana doo programming.... because i used to like v.much progamming from my college days alot and even recently i like porgamming.. i mean havn't got much boor from programming but also at the same time now days porgamming is not my passion any more because of the break in quality work.... but still have eager to do some practicle stuff in programing and gain good quality work experience thats why searching for development job but this is also true that no one is going to do programming for ever...but with my kind of job profile and degree i.e only MCA, having a exp of bpm will narrow the growing changes of becomming a sucessfull TL if switch back to market because in that case i won't be having a quality exp and i have forgotten all stuff and also not able to advice my jouniors some best practices...(if i go outside bpm specially)...
but one thing is for sure
earlier i was mad for programming... in college days but not now... as such ..... but yes i do need good quality experience in pure java technologies for future survival

but,
domain like, finance, banking, insurance, telecom will always remain
and after some time when you don't do coding, (at TL level) their market will still be always hot .. and then you have to give solution with your indepth knowledge of domain... that time programming practice and design patteran may change..like webservices but knowledge of domain will be very usefull

and when on thrusday i talked their assitant vise president.. they
told me that work will be like that I have to use thier api (product
api ) to develop things and applications..

like that ... and sometime write your own things in jsp if
funcitonallity is not avaialble in the product api they were going

The co. i am selected for is v.v.big MNC its a BPO, so the BPM work is related to that
applications...
