I guess when global security is enabled, it is better to give the fully qualified host name instead of localhost. Let me know if you have found any solution for this issue.

Let me know if you have found the solution for this?? I know how to redirect a user to a particular page after login by specifying in portal configuration, not from coding side. But to get the state of the page and going back to that same page after login is a issue that i will be interested to know.
