Akash,

I would advice you to remain in your current company till atleast you have an year's experience. You can apply on their website. They are looking for people but i think its mostly experienced guys with more than 3-4 years experience. Yes, you would be able to clinch a better pay once you have a year or two of experience under your belt.
Dont be impatient, that's the mantra.

Akash,

Techspan Noida is a very good place to work and they are paymasters. Most of the employees are from IITs and reputed colleges so they would be paying really well. I heard that Techspan Noida has clients like Goldman sachs and Morgan Stanley and the projects are good.
Go ahead and give it a shot. All the best!!!

I definitely agree with K J Reddy. If you are interested in mobile domain then Symbian would be a good choice. Also you should consider the work profile you would be getting in both the companies.

Are you talking about Symbian Bangalore. Symbian is a UK based company. It has recently opened its development centre in Bangalore. Symbian is doing very good and its OS is used on many handsets. Have you got an offer with Symbian. If yes, for what position & location?

Folks,

I appreciate your responses. I think the best bet would be find an employer and then file an HSMP. I dont know if any one gets a call working in India. Also can anyone throw light on the nature of the contract jobs in uk. Is it easy to find a new job once ur contract ends? I am asking this, since i had got a call for contractor's role in germany a year back.

Hello friends,

I would like to know your opinion about working in the UK. I got to know from some friends that to work in the UK there is a HSMP (Highly Skilled Migrant Program). If you qualify for HSMP and get it then you become eligible to work in the UK. The total costs comes to around 1700 pounds (around 1.4 lac INR). If we get the HSMP from India do we stand a good chance of getting a job in UK? Has anyone tried this. I have 4 years of experience in embedded systems and currently working with a very good company. I am interested in working in UK.

I would really appreciate if you folks could share your views\more info on this.

Thanks,
Anu

Shalu,

If your B1 visa is valid for more than 3 months then you dont need to apply for a new visa, you can go on the same visa. e.g say ur visa is valid for a period of one year with multiple entry , you can go any no of times to the US on the same visa. Every time you go to US the period of your stay is restricted by the date which is entered on your I-24 at the port of entry.

As far as I know they work on video codecs MPEG-4, H.264 etc. Nvidia is a really good place to work if you are going to work on the video domain. Which domain are you selected for?

Nvidia Pune was earlier Pacesoft.

Hi Pramila,

Be sure to carry all your documents and the invitation letter from the US company. Make sure your photos are of the specified dimensions and background. They will ask you why you are going, how long are you planning to stay and who is going to sponser you all that. They will also ask about your previous experience, how long have you been working with the present company etc.
Just be confident and reply everyting calmly.

All the best.
