Hi Friends,

I have single java file having a main method.
I have put some log messages in this file.

How do i get all this log messages using log4j?
(i.e.
1. how do i configure log4j.properties file with this class ?
2. how should i use "PropertyConfigurator.configure()" ?)

Yes,
thats what i wanted to know, why it always constant.
What is Logic to keep them as constant.....
What is Logic behind that every variable declared in interface are "public static final" ?
Hi,

As far as my knowledge is concern,

Servlet & JSP are act as servlet itself,

But basic difference between them is
Use JSP when you have more Presentation logic than Bussiness logic
&
Use Servlet when you have more Business logic than Presentation logic

Hi All,

I have written a simple JSP i.e Test.jsp.
I am trying to call a java class from that jsp.
I have created a application under webapps i.e myJSP.
I am using Tomcat 5.

The problem i am facing as --
==========================================================================
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\work\Catalina\localhost\myJSP\org\apache\jsp\Test_jsp.java:6: cannot access mypack.MyClass

bad class file: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\webapps\myJSP\WEB-INF\classes\mypack\MyClass.class

class file contains wrong class: MyClass
Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath.

import mypack.MyClass;
========================================================================

It shows me a error at "import mypack.MyClass;" line

Hi All,

I am trying to call Applet from servlet,
I had my "applet.class" which is created in one folder, say d:\project\classes
& my root folder to run web-server is different say d:\root\web_server

My proble is that every time when I compile my Project applet class file created at d:\project\classes
&
I have to manually put applet.class at d:\root\web_server to run that applet,

Please suggest me hoe define CODEBASE for this scenario.

Thanks & Regards

  • Are there any messagea in the Java Console?

  • No
  • What does the applet tag look like?

  • <APPLET NAME="myApplet" CODE="com.servlets.EchoApplet"
    WIDTH=400 HEIGHT=400></APPLET>
  • Where do you keep the class files on the web server?

  • it is in class folder in WEB-INF
  • Are the classes downloadable manually?

  • I am not UNDERSTAND this Question ............
