(1) Level of detail. How many diagrams / classes / components etc.?
I followed the requirements i.e. 1 Class Diagram, 1 component diagram and sequence diagrams.

(2) Is your class diagram technology independent?

No my class diagram was not technology dependent. It was purely a business domain Class diagram. i.e. no ejb related, servlets or ejb/web pattern related classes.
(3) How much effort did you put in client side design.

I kept my sequence diagrams client agnostic.

(4) Which UML version did you use?

I used version 2.0

thanks...but I have not received any updates on my results yet.

I am a bit scared on why the site does not show the fact that part-3 exam is already taken in the test history. I have taken part-3 in first week of OCT but it not show in the test history section.

Does it show for your case in 'Test History' that part-3 is taken?
Where are the results for part-2 posted ? Is it supposed to be

I have already given my part-3 but on the sun's website http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment (Test History) it does not show up. Is it suppose to show up that I have given part-2 and part 3 and the result is awaited?
congrats !! I'm waiting anxiously for my results to come in.
folks ... how much time did prometric revert to provide uploading rights to the assignment. ?
"This has made India less attractive of late as compared with other markets (China, SE Asia, Eastern Europe). "

This fact is wrong. I dont think it makes India less attractive to develop s/w.

Wage is a component which is driven by over all inflation in the economy, real estate, commodity, gas, stock market etc... Right now most of the emerging markets are in overdrive because of the huge investment. A statement by a big co saying it will invest 6Billion$ in IT in India can send the real estate and stock prices of the related economies shooting.

Also for the record, in China there is huge attrition and higher asking salaries. Big companies in India do not pay $ lollies for TL or PMs for the matter. As you see in the forum on an average 10 yrs exp fetches you still avg 10 lakhs and ++. Its only a handful of companies where you get huge salaries but again if you compare that with anywhere in Europe or US for the matter its peanuts.

e.g. 6 lakhs per annum for a TL with 6 yrs exp on an avg comes to 13000 USD per annum and that is before Tax.

Bottom line, its still cheap and competetive place to. Besides lets not forget the maturity of these companies in terms of processes, roi etc. Co(s) in India also promise % improvement in processes as part of std. outsourcing contract...so its not just a cheap coolie work anymore.

perhaps Sun should re-think not to charge this part of the exam. Darn expensive !!

I dont think we are saying that container automatically instantiates 10000 or whatever entity beans. No thats not the point.

Customer Entity does not have transactional or sharing requirements amongst many users...Yeah sure it is an entity but it does not qualify being an entity bean. I would create an entity bean for those which require transaction mgmt and sharing across many users. Its bad practice to just map entities identified to entity beans so as to say.

I would rather design entity beans for Segment, Seats, Flights etc using a composite design because they will be shared across many users and transactional, atomicity, isolation levels all apply for this data to keep its integrity.

again my 2c of opinion.
