Hi Swapnil,

- long term career growth
- good work culture & good people
- good money
- onsite opportunities

U may go to Google, Microsoft, Yahoo etc.
Dont know which one is in pune. But sure these can be ur kinda company. But for that u need to have all those which u expect.

Last but not the lest.
- long term career growth
Its we who decides the career growth not the company

- good work culture & good people
If you are responsible for the behavior which u get.If u behave good and have good culture then the person in frnt of u will have to kneel down.Obviously that needs persistenc ,diplomacy, and devotion to work
- good money
If u work good u will get money else thats u who is restricting himself by working for less.

- onsite opportunities
Yeah thats service industry which will give u this

Thanks

Hi Swapnil
A great dilema. Many people fall in this.
There are 3 issues:
1.Switch to Managerial Job.
2.Onsite Oppurtunity.
3.Product or Service.

The first two issues are most mutually exlcusive.Coz in a managerial pos generally u have to handle more than on projects.Thats why onsite oppurtunity fails.U may get some of em but very less.

If u want to go for onsite better u stick to ur technical and try to opt for some companies like satyam, infosys , patni. They are big players for onsite oppurtunity.

As u want to change the JOB product company will provide u the oppurunity to research and innovation and experiment which u at times will not get in service based industry. But Onsite u will not get and also managerial job will be very demanding in devotion ,time and years of exp.

My answer is
Opt for company(preferably service company) which is willing to pay u and will send u onsite. That way u will gain oniste oppurtunity ,growth in technical skills and good client interaction. After getting back u will have good reason to opt for managerial job.Work over there and then move to Product company u want.

No solution for all ur needs I can find.It may happen that u may find .Look after that

All the best

Well yes I agree wid abhijit .If u have a certification with an handson exp. that will value much.

As the JAVA certification is concerned I wud like to say in QA there is not need to go for language certifications.Insteed only the working knowledge and the flaws , merits and de-merits of a technology and how it works matter which comes after u play with that.Better suggestion will be that u do RnD on different technologies and find out the goods and bads in them try to figure out the logical answer rather than programable answer
Thanks

It would be better if u go for some certifications before shifting ur JOB.What do u say Abhijit. That way u can expect more than 3.5
