Hi Jeevan,

I know i can edit the jar file.
But i dont want to.
My question is "Without editing or changing the code of the jar file can I overwrite the config file of the jar? "

the code in jar file is writing logs to a particular path.
i have to change the path to which it is writing from the application.
I cant change the jar file.
there is no way that i can achieve this.
pls suggest.

Hi All:

I have jar file within the application and it contains a property file.
I need to retrieve that property file from the jar and overwrite a particular property from the application.

Is this possible? if so how do i do this?

Ex. my xyz.jar has config.properties with a logfile = /xyz/abc/util.log

I need to retrieve this property from my application and change the value for this logfile.

When I open the application.xml in RAD6.0 and go to the deployment tab I see the following error:

The deployment information cannot be loaded successfully. you cannot make any changes to the Deployment page. Ensure that a websphere v6.0 server runtime has been defined with the correct Websphere installation directory.

Can anyone help resolving this issue pls.

Hi All:

I have used the migration wizard of RAD 6 to migrate the project from WAs 5 to WAS 6. It is throwing the following error and wouldnt migrate the project.

Can anyone help me pls??
CHKJ3000E: WAR Validation Failed: com.ibm.etools.j2ee.commonarchivecore.exception.DeploymentDescriptorLoadException: WEB-INF/web.xmldboWebProject

Hi All,

I am running my application on WAS 5.1.2.
I dont get any errors when I start my server
but when I type in the URL of the application http://localhost:9080/dboWebApp
it gives a page not found error.
for that matter even if i type http://localhost:9080/ i get a page not found.

can someone help pls...
