Hi,

As part of our new project, am doing analysis on performance of ORM tools. I compared two
1 . JPA(Hibernate) in JBOSS 5
2. only Hibernate.

I had inserted some records using the same and found that JPA(Hibernate) is performing well(taking less time) than Hibernate.

My Assumption on JPA(Hibernate) in JBOSS 5 :
Jboss 5 JPA(Hibernate) is nothing but JPA API is implemented to use Hibernate in background. which is an additional Layer.

But how come JPA(Hibernate) with additional layer is performing well than only Hibernate...

Please help me out..

Hi Friends,

Can anybody help me out in viewing or applying an xslt to a xml document.

Here is my xslt code.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"><xsl:template match="/">
<html>
<body>
<h2>My CD Collection</h2>
<table border="1">
<tr bgcolor="#9acd32">
<th>Title</th>
<th>Artist</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>.</td>
<td>.</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>
</xsl:template></xsl:stylesheet>

And I applied the above xslt doc to the following xml file
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!--Sample XML file generated by XMLSpy v2005 rel. 3 U (http://www.altova.com)-->
<?xml-stylesheet type=text/xsl href="employees.xsl?>
<employees xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.employees.com/a employees.xsd" xmlns="http://www.employees.com/a">;
<!-- <?xml-stylesheet type=text/css href="emp.css?> -->

<employee position="manager">
<name>
<first>John</first>
<last>Dent</last>
</name>
<age>34</age>
</employee>

....

</employees>

In the browser I am not able to see the expected result.
I am getting the following thing in browser:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <!-- Sample XML file generated by XMLSpy v2005 rel. 3 U (http://www.altova.com)
-->
<?xml-stylesheet type=text/xsl href="employees.xsl?>
- <employees xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.employees.com/a employees.xsd" xmlns="http://www.employees.com/a">;
- <!-- <?xml-stylesheet type=text/css href="emp.css?>
-->
- <employee position="manager">
- <name>
<first>John</first>
<last>Dent</last>
</name>
<age>34</age>
</employee>

</employees>

Can anybody explain wat might be the reason?

Hi,
Atlast i done with 88%.

My reosources for Prep: HFSJ,SCWCD by Hanumandeshmuk.
Enthuware JWebPlus mock exams.
Some free mock exams in javaprepare.com, jirisonline,

The worst thing tat I found is mistakes on some of the questions
in the exam.
For who are looking for good score have a thorough check on the configuration of EJB Related stuff in the web.xml. And all the ejb related tags that can be used in web.xml. I missed almost 2 questions on this.

I practiced the Enthuware mock exams in which i scored 90+% in all the mock exams. It has not covered questions on all areas.

Next --> IBM XML
------
SCJP(91%),SCWCD1.4(88%)

b Line 3 must be enclosed in <jsp:text> and </jsp:text>.

c Although line 3 is valid but "Hello" will not be displayed as HEADER1 format in the browser.

d Line 5 is invalid.
e Line 10 is invalid.

I thought ans is A but
Anwer is D
Because of
It should be written as:

Hi ,
I want to confirm the below statement.

"The order of elements in deployment descriptor is important. The elements must follow a specific order."

Is it correct?

If so, I am keeping the elements of DD and they were working fine.(Tomcat).

Any idea?

Write the body value of <body-content> element for a tag that is supposed to interpret it's own body.

Ans is: tagdependent

Could any one explan the reason?
