Our application currently runs on a managed server in development.
I changed the configuration to run on only the admin server.

After redeploying and successfully restarting the admin server, I am getting the following error:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

Please help.

Could someone tell me the books/resources to follow for the following topics:

Common Architectures
Legacy Connectivity
Protocols
Messaging
Internationalization
Security

I saw most of the posts concentrating only on:
SCEA book
Design Patterns
EJB
UML

Sorry if I am missing something. I am just getting started on this.
Sorry about my previous question.

Our web application does not have any servlets of its own today.

But it uses other app's servlets sometimes which are declared in web.xml.

We are trying to just run a small servlet of our own within our web app. We have spent 2 days and we are getting sometimes http 404, http 405, http 400 etc.
All kinds of random errors.

When we include a servlet for the first time, do we need to make any one time changes to the app in addition to changing web.xml.

I was not able to run any new servlets on my linux machine.

Some of the existing servets run ok.

I have read a little bit about weblogic domains.

But I have some basic questions:

1) If there exists a domain on a Unix machine. What should we do to make it accessible to a new user. Is there a domain per user or per application?

2) If there are many server instances in a domain, what are their ip addresses. Is it the same as the physical machine or what are they?

Experience is good. And it is very important.
But experience is not everything. It is not under our control.
We cannot learn what we want. If we code the same "if statement" every day how can experience help us.
The alternative is to change jobs/organization. What if the new job has the same environment?

The process of acquiring knowledge and practical experience should be organization-independent.
