Hi,

I am also new to SCEA. I also had asked the same question like you and I got the following answer for that from Ganesan. Hope it will help you.

Sun Microsystems offers many certifications starting from programmer level to architect level. SCEA (Sun Certified Enterprise Architect) certification is designed for enterprise architects responsible for building high scale enterprise applications or who wish to be prospective architects.

The certification exam tests candidate's architectural knowledge in and out.

Sun Certified Enterprise Architect Certification Exam has three phases to complete the J2EE Architect Certification.

Phase 1 exam tests the candidate's architectural knowledge, J2EE business components knowledge, J2EE design knowledge and Design Patterns knowledge in the form of multiple choice questions exam
