I use Netbeans, while a coworker uses Eclipse. To my knowledge, neither have any 'special' functionality for Ext JS, but both work, in the sense that you can use them to implement Ext JS into your web applications.

Congrats! Nicely done.

E looks good to me. At that point, your variable would be referring to a new object since Strings are immutable.

I'd pick up Sierra and Bates Java 5 Certification study guide if you haven't already. They have good advice at the beginning of the book.

Make a first pass....picking out easy questions without tons of code to work through.

All of the Application type questions, skip them the first time through. Once you start answering all of them, you're right..it does no good to go back to them. Answer them once and live with the answer.

You didn't miss passing by much...I think those tips alone will help you pass this.

Way to go Josef...great score :-)

Oh man...missing it by one question is tough...sorry to hear about that. If you took it again immediately, you'd probably pass though. At least you know of one that you know you missed.

I had to take the normal (not upgrade) exam more than once and each time, it had a question where there were two calls to start, so I'm sure that question would reappear.

Now you know a runtime exception would be thrown.

Good luck if you decide to take it again.

Good job Suresh. I wouldn't sweat the score so much. 76% is great...that's 3 out of every 4 :-)

The second book is well worth the money. There were topics discussed in the 1.4 book which are no longer on the 1.5 exam (specifically, information on the Math class).

It's best to simply buy the new book and study it.

Got back this morning from passing the SCJP 5.0 exam. I've taken it before and failed it. It's such a relief to pass it :-)

Only 68%, but I'm very happy to have it done!!

Thanks to Bert and Kathy for such a great study guide. I wouldn't have been able to do it without that guide. BTW, on my failing occasion, I didn't have the newest version, so I believe the new version is what made the difference.

With the exception of correcting my sign in name, has anyone had a chance to look at this one? As noted before, these seems contradictory.

Thanks for any help.

Chris
How's this :-) Sorry, I had not read that little snippet.
