Sun does not send you any confirmation about the assignment upload.
PART III is to test whether you are the person who did the assignment.
I would recommend once you are done with PART III in a couple days you can send a mail to them to make sure that the assignment is sent to an Assessee. I read and heard that some assignments were missed.
Thanks to All..
Mr.Bodani:
1. In my opinion assignment is purposefully given with lot of ambiguities. So document your assumption that relates to the ambiguity without fail.
2. I worked on the class diagram first, did not change the domain model.
3. Sequence diagram next. It was an iterative process and this is the place where I started doubting my assumptions and re did...re did...If you are confident here, you should be fine
4. Component diagram comes next. One needs to know what is a component. Once that is clear, then it should be easy enough. I would receommend UML User Guide for that.
5. Use as many standard UML notation as possible.
I hope this helps....

PS: Actually more than 2 people have scored 100%.

Hello Everybody,
I am happy to share that I have passed Part II and III with 100%.
Here are my suggestions to the budding Architects...
1. Keep things simple
2. Follow the domain model
3. Document...Document...Document...Document
I used Rational Rose on my Linux and used Rosegraph on windows to produce gif images for models.
Eventhough I was not very active here. I often cleared my doubts from Javaranch old discussions
The three threads that were very useful for me was
http://www.coderanch.com/forums/ - Segment and Flight Discussion
http://www.coderanch.com/t/149629/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/Passed-Part-II-III - AMANDA WAITE
http://www.coderanch.com/t/150197/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/Passed-PartII-III - JIGNESH1 SHAH
Thanks a million to Javaranch

Hello,
Does anybody know any Open Source Java Chat application [applet based] that is stable [I have seen JChat in Sourceforge.net, but it is in early stage of development]. I am not looking for many features. It can be simple and performing. I do not have much time to write one. Any one???
Thanks in Advance
Jay
Thanks for the reply.
I had also sent the payment confirmation no. The expected turn around time is 24 hrs. Atleast that is what I heard from Sun.

Hi Guys,
I have trouble in uplodaing the assignment. The message is <<You do not have the rights to upload that assignment>>. I sent an email earlier to who2contact@central.sun.com. But I am surprised that there is no contact no in the website. Does any body has this issue before. Please pass on any contact no if there is any.
Thanks in Advance

In addition to G´┐Żnther, the business delegates can hide EJB exceptions. The clients will not have any knowledge that they are talking to an EJB.
Thanks Chris,
It makes sense to me that implementation phase can decide which specification to follow. But there are some issues like CMP with relationship requires EJB 2.0 spec to be followed. This is particularly imp whether to DAO or not for database independence. How did u handle that. Did u leave that also to implementation team to decide.
Thanks
Jay
Hello,
I am about to complete my assignment. Got a showstopper now. Any body passed Part II and III by following 2.0 specification.
I have read few people's posting here and in yahoo group that it should be 1.1, but they were posted atleast a year back. In the Developer assignment it was clearly mentioned that any production version of J2SE is fine for working on the assignment. Is the same applicable here.
Waiting for ur comments...

Hi,
Thanks for the valuable tip. I was able to reconfigure the X Server. But, when I tried to run X Server manually, I got the classical "Could not find font Fixed" error. I checked font dir and verified all files. It was OK.
After scratching my head couple of times, I found that my root directory is 100%. I had a 4GB size xession_errors file. Once i deleted that it worked fine.
Thanks once again,
Jayakumar

Hi,
I have Red Hat Linux 7.1 in my home. For the past 6 months i was able to work on both KDE and GNOME desktops. Lastweek when i restarted the system LILO comes up and starts the system processes and finally I see the text login prompt and looks like when it try to start the x server i get a blank screen.
I would appreciate any response on how to figure out what is wrong.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
The exam is to make sure that whether you are the person who has done the assignment. U Really don't need to bother about the question. U are given two hrs to complete the written exam. Which is too much for five questions. Believe me, u really don't need to worry about the exam...
Best of luck
Regards
Jayakumar
I had documented two approaches to run the program.
a. Using java
b. Using command files - both for windows and unix. - I believe it is OPTIONAL. However if u provide the batch files, u need to make sure that it is a working one. I had access to Unix OS.
Best of luck
