Hi,

Is IBM Rational Web developer the same, or a part of
IBM RAD?

Is it correct to say that the Service Locator pattern is in
this way introduced in the framework that is being deployed,
whereas previously this design choice was left completely in
the hands of the developers?

In the scenario above who is responsible for the naming and directory services?

Are you sure your DataSource isn't used to make
this connection, or possibly there is still a
default datasource that is being used?

Bye, good luck

Hi,

Trying to help

Are you sure you have only one persistence.xml?

Do you have another property file like for example
'xyz.properties' that is beeing checked by your app?

Interesting... in database lingo can this be seen as having different VIEWS on the data? Or am I misinterpreting.

I share a similar experience. Learning EJB 2.1
was not a walk in the park, but the biggest
surprise came with the actual use, where
much that now has been solved with EJB 3.0
was putting pressure on the project.

Especially the extra coding and configuration
you need to do when you are not using simple
POJO's.
