Hello Moderators,

With respect to the Javaranch New Posting Guidelines, the name of the company should not appear in the post. And presently the workaround for this being used is, moderators remove the Company name and leave [Company] marker in the post, so that the visitors would not be able to see the actual company name.
But this method has a small loophole ... Due to which, people can still get the Company name, thought it has been changed to [Company] marker.
No hard feelings... Its just a riddle for free time, and I know moderators can find it easily... If not, will provide the answer...

Thanks and Regards,

Kalees, as per my understanding, you must be working in a small scale company. Rs. 8000 per month (96000 per annum) is a bit less for demanding the 25000 per month (3lpa) salary. But this is also true that you are getting paid less as per Indian industry standards.
The thing is, if you join a large organization, then they have their own payment slabs for different experience levels. Large service based organization can provide you your expectation (3lpa). But if the salary is the only your expectation (and not onsite), then it would be advisable to try for some financial firms rather then service oriented industry. If you perform in interview, they can offer you even more then what you are expecting

Hello all,

I am facing a critical situation.

I am presently working in a Company A. This company filed my H1B petition in April 2007. The petition got approved. But before stamping, being frustrated by companys internal politics, I resigned from the company. Now I am on notice period till November. As a part of clearance process, the original petition copy needs to be returned to the employer and they would probably cancel the petition. And I will be left with only EAC number.

My query is, whether my new Company B can stamp my H1B with the same old EAC no or I would need to resubmit the petition for 2008?

Thank you in advance...

When you will resign from your current organization, immigration department will cancel your visa at the time of clearance. Also, according to US immigration laws, if you want to transfer your visa, you need to be on US land.
So AFAIK the only way to retain your H1 is go to US from same company, get a I-94 and other immigration related activities done on the H1, stay for couple of months to find a suitable opportunity and city, apply for transfer of visa, and then resign...

Hi,

I am currently having 5 years of experience in J2EE technology. Do anyone know which companies in UK and Australia who offer sponsorship for work permit to directly recruit the IT people in their firm?

Thanks in advance

I think, you have been offered a very good package. But just have a look at the nature of work... Work satisfaction is also an important thing with money...

I was having a similar problem. Mark, can you share the information where we can apply for getting H1B sponsorship?

Aggried with Tina. You need to first set your priorities. There is a saying, 'Hope for the best and prepare for the worst'.

I am working as a software developer in a leading MNC. Company has filed my H1B petition, and the request of H1B for the year 2007-08 has been approved recently by US Immigration team. My query is, if I change my job now, will I be able to transfer my existing H1B approval to my new employer? Whether the new company will be able to use the same approval to get my visa stamped? Or whether I myself will be able to get the visa stamped paying the cost myself?

Hi,
I am having 4.5 years experience in IT. Working on J2EE platform in a CMMI 5 level MNC. I requested to file my H1B visa to my company, but I got the reply as I have joined recently, they can not file the visa at this moment of time. The company has asked me to wait till April to file the visa. But from external sources and the consultants approaching me, I came to know that Feb 28th was the last date to file an application. My queries are
1. Is it true? Because if it is so, then I will need to wait for one more year (till Feb 2008) to file the visa, and afterwards till Oct 2008 for stamping.
2. If I contact consultant, and get my visa filed, is this a safe way to do so? If something goes wrong, being in India I can manage, but if Ill be US, then I will be in big trouble
