And, as for being bad practice, using "success" adds a certain amount of consistency - assuming you have only one successful outcome.

You can name it whatever you want, but it will always look in the config file and you must have it set up there with the name you chose.

Hi all:

I am using a Global Forward as follows:

<global-forwards>
<forward
name="PaymentProfile"
path="/CreditQueryWeb/TestSession.jsp"
redirect="true" />
</global-forwards>

"CreditQueryWeb" is the root context for another WAR on the same JVM.

The ActionForward is being found and constructed properly as verified with my debugger, but I am getting a 404.

I was expecting this to work since it is my understanding that RequestProcessor would process this a "redirect".

Is there a flaw in my understanding?

Been there - done that.

There is no fix for this - it is an I.E. bug - you'll have to move the text box or the dropdown menu.

A tabbed display does not require a call back to the server, i.e., it does not have to be an "illusion". All tabs can indeed be loaded up front, i.e., you might divide the 120 fields into separate tabbed <DIV>'s - grouping by some meaningful to your application. You then control the display with "dynamic HTML" calls - suce as style="display:none" and style="display:inline".

I have built several well received apps this way - it does require some fairly heavy javaScript. I too was wondering peripherally how it would be accomplished with STRUTS/Tiles.
