No it is not a web-app nor is it connected with any servlet or JSP page so I guess ServletContextListener would not help me.

The class is a simple java class which acts like a scheduler and which should start with server start-up and it depends on few other class files. All of these class files are packaged in a jar file. Is there a way I can tell Weblogic to read that jar and call my class (it has a main method) at startup..??

Hi All,

I am new to WebLogic. I am using WebLogic 10.3. I want to call a JAVA class on server startup. This class and the dependent classes are all bundeled into a JAR. How do I do this..??

Thanks

I was once giving a presentation to a client and my laptop was connected to the projector. Now the same day
India vs Australia cricket match was also going on. So on my laptop I had my presentation window open and also had a browser window which was showing the latest scores and there were other windows open too. Now in the middle of the presentation while shifting through the windows using Alt + Tab I accidentally opened the score window and worst of all while hitting Alt + Tab someone from the audience asked me a question and turned to reply and I didn't notice that I accidently opened the score window. Now the projector was showing the latest match scores and I didn't realize this and continued with the presentation till all of them suddenly started smiling and giggling. Its only when I looked at the screen I realized what I had done. Fortunately for me the client was cool about this and just laughed out the incident , but it was one goof up I will never forget

so 2 freshers taken into the same company at the same time get the same pay??

You seem to really want to know that...

Well from whatever I have seen yes they can get different pay scales but there is no fixed rules and nothing can be said for sure... it depends on a lot of factor for example your college from where you passed, like a IIT graduate will definitely get better pay than a graduate from some lower grade college even though both are freshers... your interview also matters a lot , if you were really good in your interview and you have the skills what the company is looking for you might end up getting more pay... there are other factors as well

Congrats...

don't feel low be happy that you cleared the exam , there are many who don't manage to clear it.... the important thing is now you know how the exam is and this will be really helpful if you are planning to give further certifications , the experience of giving the exam is invaluable for future exms

And I suggest you don't worry go and have lots of bear and just chill out
Oh by the way I assume you are old enough to drink beer.. if you are not I am not responsible for

cheap kid from a low salary country cannot replace

That is really bad choice of words...Who do you think you are to call someone cheap , for all you know these might be really bright kids much better than you ever will be...

Looking at your sentence you seem to be more worried about such a kid replacing you , and that means you should first ask yourself the question what have you done in this industry for so many years... Is your experience worth anything meaningful..??? and if you dont have a significant experience stop calling others as cheap...

Low salary country...which country are you talking about... If you are really so smart and outspoken as you show yourself to be go ahead and name the country and then we will discuss furthur... and (because I know you don't have that much guts) there is only one country mentioned in this post and if you are calling it low paying you are in desperate need of some general knowledge... don't forget that country provides some of the best IT professionals in the world

Hi folks,
I am using a 8GB 64-bit windows machine which is running the Pramati application server.
Now when I say wrapper.java.initmemory=1024 and wrapper.java.maxmemory=4096 the server starts and immediately stops , but when I use Xms=1024 and Xmx=4096 the server starts fine. My question is why is this different behaviour when all I am doin is setting initial and max heap memory??
Note :- The server actually is configured as a windows service so I have to start it from administrative tools\services (although I am not sure this could have anything to do with the problem I am facing but just mentioning it)

Why would you use other logic when you can write recursive a function?

That is the best reply to this question that I have come across till now. Although if you are a fresher I wont advice you say that to your
interviewer or he might react like this

I am using Oracle10g RAC on Linux which is running on VMWare. I have created two nodes and the idea is to access this database from a remote machine running on windows. Now I start the nodes and create a test table and then commit , but when I connect to the database and execute a select query on the test table from the remote windows machine it gives 'Table or View does not Exist', but when I execute the same query on the linux(not remote) machine it shows me the output. Any ideas why I cant see the updates on the remote machine

check out with the institute where you did your engineering... such institutes usually have placements cell's... if that doesn't work register on the job sites (there are plenty out there) , read classifieds , check out with your friends about openings in their workplace... search for placement agencies near you...
