If anyone is interested, listed below are the sources I studied:
Head First Java
Java in 21 days
Sun Java Tutorials
ExamScam SCJA Certification Guide
+ website with mock questions
EnthuWare JAss+v1 test software
Sun's mock exam package

HF Java and Java in 21 were the two best books I found to learn the Java basics, as well as using Sun's Java Tutorial (I am a transplant from the Infrastructure side of the house and had no previous Java experience. It took me a good month to go through those three sources - wish I had turned to programming a long time ago!)

Cameron McKenzie's SCJA cert guide was invaluable and really helped focus the material!

The EnthuWare software, and Sun's testing software were essential in helping me apply what I learned from the SCJA cert guide

Hope this helps any would be test takers.

Very nice site, thanks for making that available - its helpful to get questions from different places, and authors - hopefully all the practice will help me pass at the end of the week.

I'm hoping to get clarification on one question - detailed below:

Question 8-5
The vendor of an J2EE Container is responsible for coding database access in a BMP entity bean.
Select the correct answer :
a.The statement is true.
b.The statement is false.
Answer
a. is correct.

I was my understandidng the answer would be false; as Vendors code and supply CMP entity beans. Cameron McKenzie's study guide explains it that way, as well as other sources I've read.

I'm hoping somebody can clarify for me - any info would be great.
Thanks.
