I've been in your keynote at Qcon-SP this year ! Congratulations for the awsome talk. I would like to know from you what do you think that brings this conversation about "microservices" nowadays ? As you said, this approach isn't so new, but why the people begins to concern about it right now ?? Is the agile movement reflecting the way we develop things ?? Or the new technologies make this approach reachable ?

Thanks for visiting Brazil and be our guest to return !

Hi Guys !

Recently an issue relating to DMI was related in struts security bulletins, the following links show what I'm talking about:
http://struts.apache.org/release/2.3.x/docs/s2-019.html
http://struts.apache.org/release/2.3.x/docs/s2-018.html

I'm refactoring my Java application, and I saw that It is heavily based on DMI. My question is, what is the security flaw that I could be exposed ?

Thinking that DMI will just expose my public Action methods, one way or another It is already exposed in my application. I'm wondering if I'm being too simplistic and forgetting some blind spot that could lead me into real security issues.

Hi Guys !

I'm facing the same problem in the Websphere AS. Is there any other way to solve this problem? I'm asking because my environment don't allows this kind of modification(alter the server configuration), so I would to know if any of you knows any other solution.

I'm processing a file that have around 5000 records to insert into my database and I'm getting time out when the inserts still running.

Thank you guys,

cya.

Hi folks !

I have a noob doubt, or not so noob at all. I was thinking about the serialization and on my actual job I found a lot of classes that have the serial IDs generateds and other classes that have It with its default value, 1L.

The project is a group of 8 modules where one is the generic and have almost all EJBs, so thinking that we are working with EJBs and this system will be used in a cluster environment, what is the real matter with the serial IDs, I mean we have to use the generated or we could use whatever ?

I always had concern about the importance of the serial IDs and always thought that we must use the generated IDs, not the default.

Anyone could give me a good explanation or point some links and material for read about it ?

Thanks all!
Relax and forget about it. Go play some soccer and hang out with friends .... when you least expect it will come =) My report took almost 2 months and I receive it by e-mail and then 2 months later it was on my sun portal... =)

Gratz for your new SCJD title..... =)

Happy new year for all !

Nice material, today I start my study for OCBCD, and this stuff will be very helpful....

The spec says:

" ... member classes of the suncertify.db package..."

. Just put inside the package and it's alright.

Good lucky and keep on touch to let us know the positive result.
Sorry if I was too short on my post, I was entering in a meeting.

But that's the whole thing, you should think and try to get the best solution. An advice, when I designed my application I did separete the locking class and the database class. So I have a utility class that care about my locking mechanism and another class that implements the provided interface. But the class that implements the provided interface isn't yet my real class, It access another class that handle the file write and load. =)

Well, when you finish , please post an idea of what is your solution and why is it that way.

=)

On this forum you have experts like Roel, Perillo, will be pretty hard you get a question without a clear anwser =)

Hi mohammad !

Well it's all on your interpretation. You could do whatever you think is right. But you must try to do the best way and justify this decision. The most important isn't WHAT you did, but the WHY you did it.
Not even a single word? =/

Hi folks !

I'm new to axis2 framework and I decided to build up a pair of webservices to make some tests.... I followed the tutorial:
http://www.softwareagility.gr/index.php?q=node/21

I did exactly the whole thing and it works fine on tomcat, so I tried to follow the same steps to Jboss, But when I created the service, the Eclipse
builds an EAR and I tried to deploy it on Jboss But I could not access the service. It simply returns the 404 error. I did checked the jboss folders and the project is there, but I can't access the service.

Anyone have any tip ?
