Hello Rancher,
in the above program I am trying to load the class residing in the jar over network,
I am unable to call the methods of the class over the network, however class is getting loaded by using loadClass method.
the method of class over network returns one String only.

Thanks>

after doing C c=new C();
why the constructor of extended class B(){
B(){
System.out.println("hello from B");
}
}

gets printed on the console?
could you please help me with constructor (can't-inherit) funda?

Thanks

hello ranchers,

class A{
}

class B extends A{
}

class C extends B{
C c=new C();
}

Scenarios.

1) my confusion is how many instances will be created?

2) if any of the super class will be having CONSTRUCTOR and if it is being called in sub class (here 'C') using super(); method in C class's constructor, now how many instances will be created?

instances means object.
Thumb rule, constructors are not inheritable in java.

is there any way to write a code to check that constructor or object is created?

class A{
A(){
System.out.println("hello from A");
}
}

class B extends A{
B(){
System.out.println("hello from B");
}
}

class C extends B{
C c=new C();
}
here in this case both the constructor printed the messages perfectly!!

Thanks.

one more hinderance,
now the manager has asked me not to use struts for implementation of the project,
so not to use struts and have it into MVC based architecture product.

ranchers i do think that

creating controller will give me some extent of MVC,
but i feel it will give me MV+C architecture.

if any guidance please let me know,
and if any book suggestions are there please mention its name.

Thanks in advance

Hello, ranchers

i am seeking guidance that the current existing project is
in really bad shape, all the pages are in jsp, not architecture was followed.
I have to manage the project and convert the whole project in simple MVC or struts mvc architecture.
please guide me, what would be the sequential steps to implement it.

if any reference book mentioned would be also great help
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply,

i will clarify more on this, that among two contexts one is running absolutely fine on both of the servers, when the particular context is down.

# Have you tried to see whether the Tomcat deployed on the non-responding machine is up and running? If even the Tomcat is unresponsive, perhaps you should take a look at the server logs.
-----on Non-responding machine other application or contexts are running perfectly. Tomcat is responsive

# Have you tried pinging the unresponsive machine? Is it even available on the network when you detect that a particular application isn't responding.
-----yes always getting response when pinging the server on which the context is not responsive.

# What kind of load balancing implementation are you using?
----i only know about the load balancer is that it is CISCO product, and the logic which is implemented is
if a user has hit the application and visited the application and even after logging out of the application (context) the balancer will keep that particular ip in session for next half an hour.
after that it will redirect any of the servers.

apache-tomcat loses context
hi, ranchers
i have a client - "two" server project (say two contexts), currently deployed on two different servers (e.g. 192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.102)
day to day deployment is being done on these two servers,
the configuration is like any external hit came on DNS the load balancer will move the request to any of the server
as per the traffic load.
now the problem is any random time project 1 is not responding to the request,
although i am checking the context is started or not on server by hitting the context directly using the server's ip. that is 192.168.1.101 (and finds it is not responding)
as soon as i restart the apache-tomcat server everything works normally, hows that possible?
please give some suggestions / solutions.

thanks Ranchers.
