What is the output of this code :

1: int []arr = {1,2,3,4};
2: for ( int i : arr )
3: {
4: arr[i] = 0;
5: }
6: for ( int i : arr )
7: {
8: System.out.println(i);
9: }

This is the output . Why is 0 0 3 0 changed like that pls any a clear that one .

Prints 0 0 3 0

public class Vars {
public static void main(String args[]) {
Integer i1 = 123;
Integer i2 = 123;
Integer i3 = 12345;
Integer i4 = 12345;
int i5 = 123;
System.out.println(i1==i2);
System.out.println(i3==i4);
System.out.println(i3<=i4);
System.out.println(i3.equals(i4));
System.out.println(i1==i5);
System.out.println(i1>i4);
}
}

output is:
true
false
true
true
true
false
Why second one is false bott references are identical though false I unable to getting this question given JavaBeat beta question anybody expedite.
Hi swetha see creating object means it will be locatining in heap of the memory.
== means same reference refer to identical object but here is dynamically creating in yhe heap.

The "==" operator simply checks for the reference equality. i.e it simply compares whether the reference variables point to the same objects in the memory or not. Whereas .equals() is meant to actually compare the object values rather than comparing their references.

hi srinivas
thanks for your help. But i am still confuse.
because c3 hold the null value, and i think It is not mater through which reference it got the value only mater the value, it hold at run time.

after assignment c3 is.
and c1 is null

why "c3" not eligible for GC?
Object "c3" is also have the null value.

Whyit it is not eligible means after assignment c3 c1 is null. i.e that is problem
