i know what should i include for this as

Class-Path:myjar.jar

but i have a little problem to understand that, where should i write this line if i have a jar file say classes.jar and if classes.jar is in a perticular directory. moreover, how can i make this entry inside a jar file?

problem has been solved. i was using older version of HttpClient api. and now i have replaced it by httpclient-4.0-alpha2 and the class get loaded.

but one more problem still persist, since this version differs from that of v3.1 hence i am still unable to send a multiplart request data to a servlet using post method.

if someone already worked upon this, then please put few line of code to make a post request containing multipart/form-data like image files.

thanks

JSP
hi all,

i got following exception at IE's java console while trying to load a japplet in a jsp.

however, i have included all the packages related to upload files from apache. the interesting thing is that, the exception is not thrown while running through appletviewer.
it sounds regarding missing of package but i have already added that in classpath. now i am unable to figure it out.
below is the applet code

thanks

hello there,

i have number of applet class files inside a folder say classes/applets.
now these applet class files to be embedded in a jsp page, here classes is not the package name of applets,instead, it is simply a folder in which i want to put applets rather than in jar directly.
my problem is, if i jarred these class files along with folder like this

then what should i write in *Archieve* attribute of the applet tag to acces these file from jsp?

thanks for your reply

i have a JApplet and a JFrame class,
first- having a JPanel as its ContentPane which in tern having diffrent components like JTextFields,JComBox etc
second- it is having same JPanel as ContentPane what is in first.

these two classes are in two jsp's. now after running first jsp and entering text inside components ,i ran second jsp, but the texts that i have entered in the components of the first class,has been lost as soon as i called the second class inside second jsp.
so how to keep visible(retain) the text of components when they are called from another class

hope, this will be clearer to you

hello friends,

how to retain a component's text, when it called from diffrent classes?

if fact, there are many indirect ways to achieve this, but i think, it would be better to use any class or any other method specialy defined to solve this type of problems.

any idea would be much appreciated

thanks

dear Ananth,

make a thorough look over your applt class,indded it's a member of swing package. to run your applet class from within html page you must run it first in html cnverter and then deploy it in your application.

hope this will help you

dear developers,

i am using NetBeans5.5.1 bundeled with tomca server. after hitting a reqirement of uploading image,indeed,i have to add some jar files to servers WEB-INF/lib directory.
but i think there is another directory common/libs where all the jar files are stored not in web-inf directory.
i have downloaded all zip folders from this site
http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/
i went through tools->server manager but i coudn't found any option to add jar files(where all other jar files are stored already) in class tab. there is another source tab but after adding jar's to it dosen't make any effect.

i have added these jar files to web project class path but when i import following package in servlet source code it is recognised.

any help would much appriciated
dear developers,
after making a thorough look over diffrent forums and now got a idea to upload an image using URLConnection.

the idea is,
1) establish a URLConnection between an applet and servlet
2)send the actual image(confused) or path of image at user's local drive to servlet using post method.
3) use servlet to upload image using Image's path or actual Image to server's hard drive from inputstream.

now at one poing i got confused, that whether path of image should be sent to servlet or actual image after encoding it via this communication to further uploading process?

if at any poing you figure out any unsuited way then let me know also

thanks

not like that, it sounds like you are hoping to get response without trying yourself first. let us show what you have done so far?

I am in little difficulty to understand, what exactly you are doing.
can you phrase your code here?

i did that but i can open 2nd frame but 1st frame will be there at back.
any other solutions?

prefer it,
JFrame yourframe=new JFrame();
yourframe.addWindowListener(new java.awt.event.WindowAdapter() {
public void windowLostFocus(WindowEvent e) {
super.windowLostFocus(e);

yourframe.setVisible(false);
}

});

hope this will help you
