Hi,

I am updating a value in my XML, and xmlns="" is getting added to one of the tags.

My XML looks like this -

I use the below code to find the node and change the value -

Code for writing back to the XML file -

When the program ends, It changes the XML at desired location but adds the xmlns="" to the Header tag -

I have no clue which why is this getting added in the XML.

Kindly suggest how can I stop the addition of this xmlns="" to the Header tag.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Regards,
Saurabh.
Hi Prabhat,

Try this,

this works for my SOAP message.
Hope it helps.
Hello William & Paul,

Actually I just figured out the way to do that....

So DOMSource constructor gives us that facility.

Thanks Williams for that book info., it will be a great help further.
Paul, I will surely explore your suggestion and if that's fits the design I will adopt it.

Saurabh.
Hi,

I am trying hands on DOM API for the first time.

I am in a fix.
My aim is to delete some of the parent tags from one XML file and bring all the child tags to another XML file.
e.g.

I want to remove & and take <c></c> and write to a XML file. <c> has more children under it.

I am trying to implement an approach where I am doing the following -

Now I want to write copyofGetXYZ Node to a XML file.
I am unable to find relevant API to do this.

Kindly suggest the right path.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Saurabh.
Absolutely, I got the message.
But if I have to use Java libraries to do everything, then why to use it through JRuby(example)?

Actually one of the senior architect suggested me the same option, I am just trying to understand exactly why should I use JRuby.

My apologies for making this too elastic

Thanks a lot, sir.

Regards,
Saurabh.
Thanks David for the reply,

I don't have much knowledge about JRuby.
Can you please share how I can use JRuby for JMS and web services stuff.

As per my understanding, we might have to use the other APIs for this or do we have some in-built API in JRuby for this.

Pardon me if I sound very lost......

Thank you,
Saurabh.
Hi,

I need your suggestions on this,
I need a framework where I can do the following -
a. XML based verification code
b. Read from JMS
c. Call other Web Services.

Can you please suggest me some of the XML based frameworks where I can achieve the above.

Saurabh.
Hi Peter,

Thanks for the reply.
I want to continuously capture what all applications are running on the system along with their users.
Example -
1) I am running a Mozilla FF, so I want to capture that I am using Mozilla & accessing the www.xyz.com URL.
2) I am writing in a word file, so I want to capture that I am using MS-Word & writing in XYZ.doc.

OS - Currently I am planning to start with Windows but yes I want to build this application for other platforms as well - Linux, Mac.

I understand that there will be different ways of capturing the required information for different platforms.

Please guide me from where to start

Hi All,

I have a question and I have google'd it several times but no suitable option.
I have to make a program/utility which can capture all the information of all the applications running on my system, I have to further use that info....

I tried by starting some search on TSR programs but many blogs say that now it is obsolete.

Please someone show me a path to at least start with...
All suggestions are welcome.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hey Sagar,

Thanks for that quick response.
Ya I agree to your point but besides this do have any other situation where we require to have objects in loop as per the performance criteria in mind.

Hi,

I have made certain changes in XML file and have filtered few of the BUG by commenting them in the XML.
I am using PMD plug-in for Eclipse. In that we get a option for “Use the resultset configured in a project file”; I browsed to my XML file and pointed the XML file.

It filters the undesired bugs and gives only bugs which are there in the XML file and gives a proper output in “Violation Overview” in Eclipse.
When I try to generate the reports it gives me “An internal error occurred during: "RenderReport". java.lang.NullPointerException”.
Please give me your suggestions to solve this issue.

Thanking you in anticipation.
