I have a socket server and socket client. The client is able to
communicate with the server without any issues. But when we try to kill
the server using kill command, it shows the following error

I dont have any idea on why such an error comes... and how to handle it...
Expecting some guidance on this...

Thanks..

Hi

I am using JBOSS 4.2.2. We are trying to use log4j to log all the
application related information in a separate logfile.
We could find that the JBOSS server logs are getting redirected to
our application logs and we could no more see the message "JBOSS started" in the console. Instead it is getting printed on the application log file.

Is it because the log4j.xml file of JBOSS is being overwritten by the
log4j.properties file of our application??

Any guidance in this would be very helpful.

Thanks

Friends,
Awaiting for your reply on this...
Can we split our web service jar file and deploy the bean alone in the application server placing the rest of the classes in the classpath?

I am using JBoss 4.2.2...

Thanks...

I have a web service whose SEI is a stateless session EJB.
The EJB alone is deployed as a jar file in the JBOSS server.
The other supporting classes are made into another jar and then placed in the classpath
When deployed, there are no issues but when the web service is invoked, i get the
following exception

Could some one please tell me if the way in which the web service is deployed is correct or not... that is splitting the jar file...

Hi...
I am developing a webservice in JBOSS 4.2.2 using JAXWS-2.0 SP2
Using the annotations, I have given the specifications for WSDL.

But when the WSDL file is generated, i could see the following

when we give "required=true" should we not get minOccurs=1.
Could some one tell me where I am going wrong in this?

I found out the problem. I was trying to deploy the EJB and include it in the class path also. After i removed it from the class path it is working.
Thanks everyone...

Hi,

I am developing a web service in JBOSS where the SEI is a stateless session bean.
I am using JDK1.5 and JBOSS4.2.2 and used annotations @Session, @Webservice, @Webmethod to register my webservice and did not use any Remote class.

I have configured some startup classes for my application. These classes are there in my application jar where all the classes including the bean are placed.
I copied this jar file in a directory, included the path in the classpath and placed the jar file in the deploy directory also. When the server starts I got an error saying

However I resolved it by creating a separate jar file for the startup classes, included this in the classpath and then placed the application jar file in the deploy directory. It is working fine now.
But I would like to know why was it not working previously. Does any of you have any ideas on this?

Hi,

I have an input xml file and am trying to convert this to a SOAP message. For this I am using the following code

But I get an error during runtime.

I could not make out what exactly is going wrong in this. Could someone please help me out?

Thanks Larsen. I could make this working now.

Thanks Larsen...
I still could not resolve the annotation issue. However i could develop a sample web service without using annotation. I tried writing a sample client program to invoke the web service. This was done using HttpURLConnection. But this gives the following error in the server.

I could not guess what exactly is going wrong?
A snippet of my sample client program

Please guide me. In weblogic, i was able to send my xml using this program. But in JBOSS, it is giving me this error.
